Torsional coupler replacement

I need to replace the torsion coupler between the motor and transmission on our 2001 28te engine box model. My question is if anyone has removed the transmission with the boat in the water. If you have info on this please let me know. Pulling the boat adds a great deal of expense. Thanks. Mike
