I have a very small red light that is under the clock on my dash board. It is a Cummins gauge package. The light is not on nor have I ever seen it glow but I cannot find any reference to it. The boat is a 1995 Tournament with as315hp Cummins power.
Can anyone tell me what the purpose of this light is. Thanks
Sounds like either a bilge pump indicator, or a high water alarm. Kick one of the bilge pumps on manually and see if it lights up. Also, search for a float switch in the bilge that is located somewhere above the bilge pumps and has no pump associated with it.
...didn't know what it was for. i found out that, at least on my boat, it means the 'accessories' switch is in the 'on' position on the d.c. main panel. as near as i can tell, nothing is hooked up to it.
I apparently have the same engine/year in my 32. If it is behind the Cummins panel it is most likely a guage light that has slipped out of its holder. Mine has one that lights the 'Cummins' name on the panel.
