Looking for info on Dometic Vacuflush Head
I just purchased a 28 TE and the head tank assembly has a vacuumed leak. It’s in pretty rough shape and I want to replace the motor and other parts but I cannot find a model number. Attached is a picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated. v/r Tom

You can reach Dometic at 800-321-9886. They'll probably refer you to these people for tech support:

You'll probably want to install new hose. That stuff looks nasty. I recommend Raritan Saniflex. Pricey but reasonably easy to work with. I'd also evaluate whether some other toilet would be worth installing and eliminate all the vacuflush components (pump & vacuum tank). It would be a lot simpler -- fewer things to install, fewer hose connections, fewer things to go wrong -- and there might not be much of a price difference.

Thank you appreciate your help. I was thinking the same thing about just replacing the whole system there a lot of parts to replace. I removed the tackle box from the helm seat and got even more access and found more rusted out parts. See attached. I love this boat and will make here beautiful again.

No, that centrifugal bilge pump picks up water from below the engine. It's a good pump, but why is it (and everything else) so rusty? Our '95 28TE came from the Chesapeake in 2012, and the bilge, its contents, and hoses were far from pristine, but very clean compared to your photos.

The boat has been to Fl at some point. I am not sure when and for how long but I am guessing that was the reason. Thanks for ID’ing that for me I will try and find a new one. v/r Tom

Maybe not that is on expensive pump. Going to look for an alternative solution.

My 28 had that Vacuflush system and it’s referred to as a vht. That stands for vacuum holding tank. I battled leaks for a long time and finally my Vacuflush guy said let’s replace the whole tank and all of my issues went away. The tank is actually part of the pressurized system with a vht
