Question for you experts.. I've been a sailor for 40 years, and its time to move to power. I just made an offer on a 1989 32 Sportfisher (or whatever it's called). Fairly good shape, and the end of season price will leave me room for repairs. She has a 2005 310 Cummins, and except for horrible gelcoat crazing on the cockpit floor sections, she seems pretty solid.
The question.. Can you tell me if the entire hull is cored, including below the waterline? She seems to sit fine on the intended waterline, so prob not horribly wet, but who knows.. Any particular issues I should look at given its one of the earliest 32's out of the mold?

Re: Questions about 32 Sportfisher
Please, get yourself a good NAMS or SAMS certified surveyor. Last summer, in Connecticut, I spent about $1500.00 for survey. Best money you ever spent! They will answer any questions and inform you of things you never thought to ask. They are certainly not infallible but will give you a leg up.

Nautidog -- if the boat is in CT or anywhere nearby, see if you can get Chris Nebel to survey it for you. Not only is he a great guy and an excellent surveyor, he has owned four Albins! He knows them inside and out. captainchris@thatboatguy.com. 203-623-0301.

Re: Questions about 32 Sportfisher
2005 310 Cummins? Maybe a 6BTA 315?
