Stymied with Table on A25

Post by cmoffatnc1 »

We are finally nearing the completion of a lot of changes on the boat and are preparing for our first real usage. We have read several places that the table can be stowed in the head but we are having trouble seeing how it would be secured. It would be appreciated if someone could share photographs of their table in a stowed position.

Also, we don’t have the part of the bracket that mounts to the aft cabin door for table use in the cockpit. Photos of that would also be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you're talking about the table that doubles as a fill in board that converts the settees into a V berth, that can stow up against the front wall inside the head compartment. It would go with narrow edge down, underside facing aft. Have a small slat of wood attached to the floor to hold the narrow edge in place and secure the wider aft end of the table secured with and secured with a hook latch at the top. What we did was only use that "table" board as the V berth fill in board. What we did for a dining table was a folding TV dinner stand from Walmart that fit between the settees in the cabin and between the bench seats in the cockpit. The stock table was too difficult to squeeze past in the front cabin.
