Racor Filter Replacement
My 900 series filter for my YANMAR 420Hp is in rough shape. Can I use a 500 series filter in place of the 900 ?

I don't know the 6LY "total" fuel flow (not fuel burn) rate but I would think it exceeds the 60gph rating of the 500 series plus you would be greatly diminishing your filtering capacity. I'd rebuild the 900, replace it or switch over to a spin-on setup.
