We had a significant failure with our Yanmar 6LPA-STP late in the season of 2023 and contacted Dan at DC Diesel and Marine. I can tell you it was the best decision we ever made for our boat. Dan is a man of his word; if he sets up a date and time to meet, you can set your watch by it. I liked working with Dan very much; he does not leap to conclusions or guess at a solution but approaches his diagnostics methodically and meticulously. Dan is a highly knowledgeable diesel mechanic and keeps you up to date on the work. His estimate for work was thorough and accurate, with no surprises. We had back in the water in April of 2024 and the motor ran flawlessly all season - it starts with the touch of the key every time. Our family enjoyed the season, and I was always confident bringing friends and family on board for trips. Besides the motor, Dan did a few additional items for us, and as with the motor, everything was flawless. In short, an overall excellent experience. You would be hard-pressed to find a better company to work with for service or repairs.

It's good to hear stories with happy endings like yours. I also actually happen to be a Barnegat native and during my childhood years lived on Lower Shore Road in Barnegat, although during my sophomore year at Southern Regional HS in Manahawkin my parents moved the family to Upstate NY in 1967. Later in my mid 20s I moved west to Arizona 10 years later in 1977 and have been out here ever since.
