Happy New Year (a bit late),
It's been a while since I've checked in and hope everyone is off to a great start this year.
Recently did a thorough engine service and one thing has been bugging me. The fuel cooler setup on our Cummins 6TBA 5.9 M3 engines is corroding at both ends of the metal pipe and I found a good sounding replacement. Has anyone with a similar condition used this kit from Seaboard Marine?

Re: Cummins Marine Fuel Cooler Removal Kit
I had the 6BTA 5.9 in my 28TE and wished that I had removed the fuel cooler when the engine was out for installation of a new gear, but did not. Later on down the road when servicing the aftercooler I had considered it, but getting to the fuel line was a bear at that point .. zero room in the 28TE bilge. The kit from Seaboard makes the job very plug and play and I would strongly consider the removal.
Seaboard Mods always seem to provide efficiancy and simplicity with quality parts from a knowledgeable shop. Seaboard is where I buy my Cummins parts and I am looking at a newly arrived box right now!

Re: Cummins Marine Fuel Cooler Removal Kit
Go for it. It's an easy upgrade and will also make impeller swap out that much easier. I did an engine survey on a pair of 6BTA's last year and recommended to the buyer to can the fuel coolers and he did and he put this video together.

Enjoy.
