Ready to cruise? Then this boat is for you! This Albin 28 TE is the perfect cruiser for Coastal Cruising, the east coast of Florida, across the Okeechobee Waterway to Florida’s west coast, or to the Bahamas. After spending many great times cruising these areas, our plans were interrupted, just as we were heading off for a several weeks to cruise the Abacos/Bahamas, by Covid. After Covid unexpected health issues curtailed our boating. We have realized that being in our mid-70’s that our cruising days are unfortunately behind us. Magic is ready to resume cruising. All she needs is you!

Of note, in 2005, she was repowered with a Yanmar 315hp 6LP engine. You can cruise at 18Knts (3400 rpm) while sipping diesel at only 10 gph. This vessel comes equipped with everything that you will need for cruising, including an 8’ RIB inflatable with an 8hp, 2 cycle Yamaha outboard for gunkholing when you arrive at your destination. KATO Marine davits make launching and retrieving the RIB with the engine on easy. Heating and air conditioning is provided by a new, 12,000 BTU marine reverse cycle a/c unit. The unit is controlled by a solid state SMX-II controller with an adjustable, automatic dehumidification cycle.

All cabinets and drawers were refaced with teak veneer. The microwave shelf above stove has been converted to storage for "boat safe" plates, bowls, and glasses, which stay with the boat as does the silverware.

The entire cockpit area is covered by a custom, Sunbrella fabric bimini, whose stainless frame can fold out of the way. Custom sun shades, 2 sections either port or starboard and 2 sections aft, keep the afternoon sun out of the cockpit. There is a flip up teak table for dining or cocktails.

All dock lines and bumpers are included as well as all cleaning and maintenance items. A list of major additions, like the Tides SureSeal, can be provided upon request.

The boat is in the water in Stuart, FL, and can be shown most days, nights, and weekends – my schedule is flexible. Please call or text at (617) 872-2085. Priced at $69,900.

This Albin 28 Tournament Express is in great shape, well maintained and shows pride in ownership. She is ready to take you away at a moment’s notice.

Thanks. Really hate to sell her. She's really been a wonderful boat! The wife and I had a 40' cruising sailboat before we decided to go to the "dark" side and become power boaters. We looked at a lot of boats before settling on the 28TE. Great boat! Really, really hate to sell her, but our boating days are over. I've been on the water for nearly 70 years, so leaving boating is tough! Thanks for your efforts on the owner's group site.

I completely understand how difficult this decision is for you. Are you sure you want to let her go? There's nothing wrong with being day boaters, and the 28TE is pretty close to a perfect boat.

Excellent suggestion. Even though we loved taking the boat for day trips or out to restaurants for happy hours, our true love is being able to cruise. Keeping the boat in the condition I want, is unfortunately too much work for this old guy. And my wife has some minor issues from her recent total shoulder replacement. So we'll have to see what's possible with us and boating going forward. I've owned boats for over 50 years, both sail and power. I have a lot of excellent memories! Thanks for your kind suggestion.
