Re: First Deluxe Model number
Very cool! Had no idea there was such a long lough/river/canal system in Ireland. A little OT, but speaking of Sundowners (which I read is an Australian slang term for hobo or vagabond) I watched a YouTube video of the Titanic's 2nd officer Charles Lightoller's motor yacht Sundowner which he had used to rescue & bring back British troops stranded on the beach at Dunkirk in 1940. It's one of the few surviving "Little Ships" and has been preserved as a museum boat. But lately has deteriorated to a very poor condition and is undergoing extensive overhaul and restoration in a boatyard that specialises in old wooden boats. The original hull structure dates back to 1914, so it's much older than WW2. It was originally a Royal Navy tender or 'jolly boat' for WW1 era cruisers. Lightoller purchased it as surplus in early 1930s & converted it into a pleasure yacht. A very interesting story. If I recall it was his wife that came up with the name Sundowner.
